We stayed at the Mandalay View Inn for 2 nights in February. It is well situated, but still in a calm area. They also will rent you bikes so it is very easy to get around Mandalay from there. Our room was very big and confortable. The decoration is very simple, but the hotel is very clean. But their main advantage is the staff who make you feel right at home. They always get out of their way to help you and always have a nice smile for you, We warmly recommend it!

I should say it was a nice and pleasant experience, when I stepped into Hotel Mandalay View inn,on my last visit to Myanmar at summer 07. I got a warm and affectionate welcome as soon as I reach at their gate. The staffs are really gentle, caring and attentive, starting from attendanst to manager levels. Whenever I have to check to out they are eager to ask any assistance needed. The charges for the rooms are also quite reasonable, comparable to other hotels of the same standard and locality. I must specially appreciate the owner of the hotel Mr. A.K. for his all round helping and humbleness. I was really impressed with the manner in which he personally supervise in running the hotel. The whole hotel staffs including the manager treated the passengers as their home visiting personal guests. The rooms are also spacious and fixed with amenities and fixtures which fulfils our needs. More over the hotel is located in such a location that not only the surroundings are worth seeing and enjoying but also it is near to the down town. On conclusion I must say it is worth enough to stay in this hotel where so many good things come together to make your money spent worth.

Lonely Planet Review The namesake view's limited (unless you go for a room with a tiny balcony facing the towering Sedona Hotel across the street), but you can't knock the surprisingly comfy rooms steps away from evening puppet and dance shows and the Mandalay Palace moat. The dozen rooms inside are nicely kept up if rather small, but win fans for their woodwork, satellite TV and air con. An extra 5.00 gets you rooms with just a bit more elbow room (and a tub in the bathroom, if that's your thing). A free breakfast is served in a cramped ground floor dining room, otherwise there's a small front lawn to sit at. The inn accepts credit cards (at 10% commission) - one of only a couple in the country. Staff were on all-out friendly mode at our last pass. It's look small but nice boutique hotel. We are really happy from their service. Hotels arrange began boat ticket and hotel booking for the entire trips of Myanmar for us with very reasonable cost.

"This hotel is excellent service and small hotel type. It’s look like we are staying in our home not at the hotel. The hotel has teak wood curving bed and it’s showing their culture. Mandalay view inn is something colonial something traditional. I really love this kind of hotel. I stay Savoy hotel in Yangon and Mandalay View Inn at Mandalay."

"The hotel booked my boat trip to Bagan, and a taxi for the whole day to explore outside of town. The guide also took me to some places in the city that I had wanted to go, but had not thought I would be able to see, like the gold leaf makers and the stonecrafters. Also, the hotel made arrangements for a hotel in Bagan (Golden Express Hotel) and for a driver to meet me at the boat jetty. I would definitely stay there again if I make it back to Mandalay."

To whom it may concern, I just want to write to let you know what a great time we had at the Mandalay View Inn. The hotel was lovely and central, clean, and the staff were all wonderful and accomodating (especially Kay the receptionist and the night manager, whose name I forget). Please pass on our congratulations to the staff of the Mandalay View Inn, as they were excellent. Fred and Patsy Hetherington (stayed 22/11/2008 - 26/11/2008)
